The nearest beach is Praia Da Rocha. It is 13km from the villa and is a 10-15 minute drive.
The property is a 5 minute drive from the main Algarve motorway (although not within eyesight or hearing distance of the motorway!), so most resorts are within a half hours drive away.
10 minutes drive through beautiful countryside to the historic town of Silves with it's cathedral and Moorish castle. 10 minutes drive to Portimao which is excellent for shopping and finding bargains and souvenirs. 20 minutes drive to the town of Monchique nestled in the mountains and Caldas De Monchique which is famed for it's fonts and natural spring water.
Supermarkets, banks and all facilities are available in the local towns a 10 minutes drive away. There is 1 traditional Portugese restaurant/bar a 5-10 minute walk and 2 other bars within 5-15 mins walk.
