Port - available as a white for an aperitif, or tawny as an after-dinner drink.
Vinho Verde - a green wine, sparkling and refreshing. An Algarve speciality.
All Portuguese wines served in bars and restaurants are generally of a good quality. Ask for Tinto (red) or Branco (white).
